FAQ

FAQ

Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about what to expect from your Rapid Transformational Therapy™ (RTT) Experience.

How long does it take?

Each Rapid Transformational Therapy session lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours. For that reason, I ask that you block off a full 2 and a half hours in your calendar to make sure you’re not rushed.

What does it feel like?

The experience feels different for different people. Some people feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease or in a light meditative state. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is. Regardless of what it feels like – it’s working. I promise.

Can I get “stuck” in hypnosis?

Absolutely not! That’s a huge misconception. You have complete control the whole entire time. You can talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up and leave (I’ve had clients who had to stop to use the restroom before!). If our call gets disconnected you may drift into sleep if you’re really relaxed, but eventually you’ll notice that you’re not hearing my voice and open your eyes.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is not magic – it’s science! Hypnosis is a natural state that our brain goes into everyday – absolutely everybody has been hypnotized literally thousands of times in their life without necessarily knowing it. It happens while you’re watching TV, reading a book, washing the dishes or even driving.  As an example, have you ever driven somewhere, completely engrossed in your own thoughts to just suddenly find yourself at the destination without even realizing how you got there? Your conscious mind was responsible for your internal dialogue and any thoughts you were having, while your subconscious mind (or the autopilot) was getting you to your destination.

How does it work?

Hypnosis is the bridge between your conscious and your subconscious mind. The conscious mind is the part of your mind that is responsible for logic and reasoning. So anything that you are aware of doing, is being done by your conscious mind.

On the other hand, the subconscious mind is the part of your mind that you’re not actually aware of. It’s responsible for your feelings, habits, behaviour and even your personality. It’s also the place where your beliefs and memories are stored. You can think of your subconscious mind as the autopilot part of the mind; the one you don’t normally have control over.

So, you see, in order to change your thought patterns, beliefs and habits, we need to access the subconscious mind, and this is done through hypnosis. I think it’s also worth noting that 95% of your day is run by your subconscious mind – so you can now understand how important it is to use hypnosis as an incredibly powerful tool in rewiring and updating your mind to accept better beliefs, in order to improve the quality of your life. And that’s exactly what we are going to do in your session!

What if I don’t “go deep” enough?

Don’t worry about how deep you go. I want you to forget all about that. It’s really not important. The depth of trance is not linked to results at all. So don’t get stuck on “Am I deep enough?” Just tell yourself the truth – “This is working” and it will absolutely work. Just know that it is effective.

What if I think I already know the reasons behind my issue?

What makes RTT amazing is that even if you think you know the reason, you see it in a COMPLETELY new way. That’s what allows you to change the meaning and ultimately, change your beliefs. And for many clients they go back to scenes that are totally different than what they expected. Just relax and trust that your subconscious mind will show you exactly what you need to see.

What if I go back to scenes that are painful or scary?

If you go back to scenes from your life that are related to things like sexual or physical abuse, or other trauma, it’s important to remember that you are not reliving that scene, you are simply reviewing it and that you are safe. I will support you and create a safe space for you to express your emotions and heal – you’ll be OK.

How will I feel afterwards?

It is normal to come out of hypnosis feeling relaxed and perhaps slightly drowsy for the first few minutes. Many clients come out of trance with big smiles on their faces and feelings of excitement or empowerment, because they realize that something significant has happened. You may feel a tingling in the back of your head, a sense of reflectiveness or an incredible surge of energy. Everyone is different. Clients often tell me they experience additional insights and revelations in the days and weeks following their RTT session.

When will I start to see changes?

There are 3 types of change from Rapid Transformational Therapy – every person is different:

  •  Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviors right in the session.
  • Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
  • Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.
Why do I have to listen to the recording for 21 days afterwards?

The mind learns through repetition and it takes at least 21 days to form a new habit. The science behind this is that neurons that fire together, wire together. Neurons associated with a certain activity form neural pathways that become stronger the more that activity is engaged in. By listening to the audio you are making sure the new neural pathways created during the hypnotherapy session are growing in strength.

Think about how difficult it is to learn a new habit. You are shown a better way to hold your tennis racket, for example. It feels awkward and unfamiliar, but only in the beginning. The more you practice, the more comfortable it feels until you reach the point where trying the old way feels awkward.

On the other hand, nerves that fire apart, wire apart. The less an old activity is practiced, the weaker the neural pathways become.

Are the results guaranteed?

No professional can guarantee results. I also need to stress the importance of teamwork – you have to be fully onboard and committed to change. However, the fact that most of my clients come to me via referrals, is the best indication I can give of how effective RTT is in helping people become free of their problems. Check out my testimonials to see what previous clients have to say.

What if I need or want another session?

RTT is designed to give you a powerful breakthrough and create big changes in your life rapidly. Some clients may need more than one RTT session on a particular issue, depending on how deep it is, it can take up to 3 sessions. Most want to keep doing sessions to work on other areas of their life and improve themselves in all relevant areas. If you’re interested in multiple RTT sessions for multiple issues, please inquire about package deals.

What is the difference between face-to-face and online sessions?

Online sessions are available via Zoom, and this technique is equally as effective as face-to-face sessions. Zoom is a free platform and full instructions will be provided to you when you book your appointment.
